Immediately following the 11:00am Interfaith Service on the stage of SGVPride Festival, there will be a Blessing of the Animals.

We recognize the importance pets can have to our community members.

Many churches in the United States celebrate the Feast of St Francis of Assisi on or about October 4 each year. The feast commemorates the life of St Francis, who was born in the 12th century and is the Catholic Church’s patron saint of animals and the environment. It is a popular day for pets to be “blessed”.

As this is our first year doing a Blessing, please bring only Cats & Dogs (on a leash or in a carrier) with plenty of water.

As October is always HOT in Pasadena, please participate in the Blessing but then please take your "fur baby" back to the comfort of home.

As the festival is FREE to the public, you need not worry about having to pay to come back and enjoy a day of community.

As Pasadena Humane Society will be at the event, stop by and talk to them about adding to your family and support system!  :-D
