Interfaith Service

In 1970 here in Los Angeles to commemorate the first anniversary of the Stonewall riots in NYC, Morris Kight (Gay Liberation Front LA founder), Reverend Troy Perry (Universal Fellowship of Metropolitan Community Churches founder) and Reverend Bob Humphries (United States Mission founder) planned the first Gay Pride Parade.

A festival did not happen in Los Angeles until 1974 and an Interfaith Service was a long time opening of the Festival.

SGVPride, Inc. is proud to partner with Rev. Dr. Pat Langlois, Senior Pastor at MCC United Church of Christ in the Valley as coordinator is working with SGV area Churches and the LAQUICC  (Los Angeles Queer Interfaith Clergy Council).  SGVPride, Inc is pleased and honored to bring this back to a Los Angeles area Pride event!
This service will take place t 11:00am on the stage of San Gabriel Valley Pride October 13th in Pasadena's Central Park.
This will be followed immediately by a Blessing of the Animals.
