and get together for a “one night stand.” After they have had sex
together, they begin to learn more about each other and explore the
nature of commitment, relationships, and honesty between partners,
and delve into the “normative, heterosexist, monogamous construct
of a romantic relationship.”

This is the story of Mark Payne, who began his show
business career as a young child doing female impersonations for
his family and friends. By his teens, he had created a nightclub
act, singing his own songs. His talent soon brought him to the attention
of many major stars, and he eventually became a well known makeup
artist and designer in Hollywood. The documentary includes clips
of his performances and interviews with several Hollywood and Las
Vegas stars with whom Payne has worked.

A “comedic look at one lesbian?s journey of recover
from an unreal breakup,” this film presents a series of vignettes
showing ways she has learned to cope with “some of the crazy, yet
personal things we do in life to get through our darkest moments in
order to move on from the past and emerge into a lighter state of
being.” Included are cameos by Steak House, Abigail Severance, Glenn
Gaylord among others.
Following the screening, Chris Russo will discuss her film with
the audience.
